If you’ve ever dreamed of welcoming a Saint Bernard into your family, but you also value the principles of rescue… now is your chance to make your dreams come true! This handsome pup was rescued from an absolute neglect situation with an “owner”. Once they weren't of use to their owners anymore, they left Kingsley and his friend Ethel, behind. Kingsley suffered years of neglect and we were desperate to save them. Luckily, a wonderful foster stepped up for each of them, and they are both living their best lives!

Kignsley is estimated to be about 8 years old. He's a gentle giant that is looking for a family to love. He's amazing with other pups and has even started to play with his 4 legged foster brother. They play chase and race around the yard. He hasn't figured out toys yet but will never turn down a treat. He does the cutest little dance where he tucks his head and tail and kind of curls around you... He is gentle with his weight but would probably be best in a home with older kids that are stable on two legs. King is eager to please and working on learning the basics. Because he is hard of hearing, his fosters are working with him using verbal and hand queues.

Where you are is where he wants to be. He loves napping near his people on the closed AC duct. :D He's still mobile and loves to go for walks, He does prefer the cooler temperatures and is happy to stay outside in the early morning or later afternoon. Because of his age, his foster has started him on supplements and it's important to note, King does have Kidney Disease but his numbers are within normal limits thanks to his medication. It's one medication which he happily eats along with his breakfast and dinner. He's still a happy otherwise healthy pup and any symptoms are managed.

This dapper dog is an AMAZING pup and will make the perfect addition to the right family. He plays, dances, loves scratchies, will never turn down a treat, and promises to be the most loyal companion. Plus he's amazing with all humans and other pups. Hopefully King is the one for you. If you might be a match, please submit an application (dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form) and his foster pawrent will reach out with videos, pictures, and can answer any questions.
