Here's what the humans have to say about me:
A stray dog roamed the street soaking wet on a heavy rainy day. Good people spotted and decided to rescue that poor stray dog without anything that she was pregnant. On 2021, August 28th, the stray dog gave birth in a shelter and had 1 boy and 4 girls. Hongju was one of the newborns and stayed in a shelter for about 8 months.
Since April 2022, Hongju is staying in a foster home/shelter in South Korea to begin her new journey in Canada.
Hi, I’m Hongju! 1 year old-25 lbs-dainty, gorgeous puppy with one folded ear! Initially shy at first but warm up once we become friends. I’m very calm and gentle, unlike any other puppies.
With strangers, I would let them pet me but I’m not too comfortable yet. I would back up a bit but if you are holding treats, I could easily take them from your hands.
Since I was born in a shelter and I’m very used to getting held and lifted by people.
If I feel comfortable, I would love to snuggle next to you.
With new doggy friends, I would gently approach but get a little nervous. When I met the cranky dog who was not comfortable with me, I read the signal and backed up.
I’m very gentle with all shapes and sizes of dogs. I’m being fostered with a similar energy level and same-age puppy, we get along really well and wrestle every day. Also, I don’t guard any resources. If my friend tries to steal my food, I just let them eat mine. I’m too nice!!
When I saw the cat, I was a little nervous and try to avoid eye contact with them.
If you already have dogs or cats at home, I would prefer a slow introduction so that I get used to their scent and feel safe.
I have a moderate-energy level. I enjoy outdoor activities and rest/calm at home.
When walking, I follow the handler pretty well and I don’t usually pull or get excited.
Oh, I also ride nicely in the car and have no car sickness!
The best thing about me, I’m potty- trained and I’m not afraid of going to the vet.
Are you ready to meet this gentle soul, calm and easy-going puppy? Please contact our team!
