Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Wynken is a Domestic Short Hair (DSH)-mix, male, DOB: 5/2/22
Delightful and lively with his kitten playfulness - a fearless adventurer looking to serve his curiosity, this adorably, engaging little charmer is an extremely friendly and outgoing young guy, completely unaware of any dangers in the world and enjoying lots of time for exploration with his brother, neither wandering far from their people or family activities.
Like his brother Blynken, Wynken is a highly social and pretty confident kitten who also happens to be really good-natured and easy-to-please. An affectionate and endearing young cuddle-bug, he’ll be looking for lots of opportunities to give and receive loving-attention, and he thoroughly enjoys cuddling in the arms of those he knows and trusts. And you guessed it, just like brother Blynken, Wynken readily welcomes lots of snuggles; his purr motor gets pretty revved-up when he’s getting pets or invited onto the laps of his people.
Wynken, along with littermates, Nod and Blynken: came to Monroe SPCA as orphans needing critical care - all 3 kittens, not able to eat on their own, found outdoors. The three kitten siblings spent their first months with Monroe SPCA in medical foster being treated for URIs, Giardia, Coccidia, and Roundworm.
Now a happy, healthy feline, Wynken is looking for his forever home with a family who can give him the time and attention a young cat needs. Although Wynken can be adopted individually, we recommend a pairing with several of our other young cats having compatible personalities and temperament.
Wynken is best suited as an indoor pet and companion for a home with a calm, low-active to moderately active lifestyle and no active young children under the age of six (6). He's comfortable with other compatible cats and kittens, and he’ll be comfortable in the presence of well-mannered, cat-friendly dogs after being given some adjustment time to warm-up and settle into his new surroundings. As with all Monroe SPCA adoptable animals, a home visit and a meet-n-greet with any housemate pets will be required prior to adoption.
Wynken currently resides in a home with one of our foster volunteers. You can meet him by appointment with pre-approved adoption application. To start the adoption process, complete and submit Monroe SPCA’s adoption application linked above.
All Monroe SPCA cats available for adoption have an adoption fee of $85.00. This fee includes the cat being spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped with lifelong registration prior to adoption.
Completed applications can be emailed to info@monroespca.org or dropped off at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store located at 293 W. Monroe Street, Dundee, MI.
