My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Verona is a beautiful 10 week old Pit Bull mix who already weighs 20 pounds.  We know her mama was a Pit Bull, but we don't know her daddy's breed - though we expect he was an XL sized dog, maybe a Great Dane?  Verona will likely be an XL dog when full grown.

Her foster mama says "Verona is a sweetheart and a goof, and a really, REALLY good puppy.  I can't say enough how sweet and easy this girl is.  She is silly, adorable, and dorky - but she's perfect."

Verona likes to hang out with her people, but she LOVES to be outside.  While not a requirement, her foster mama thinks a fenced yard would be ideal for her because of how much she enjoys to be outside.  Plus she is going to be a very big girl and require plenty of exercise, so a yard to play in would be nice.

She's a super smart girl and very treat motivated - she has already learned "sit."  And Verona hasn't had any accidents in her foster home, but they are diligent about taking her out every 40 minutes.  Verona has also spent a couple of hours at a time in her crate and hasn't had any accidents.  She will cry for about the first 15 minutes in her crate, but then she will settle down - if she's tired, she won't cry at all.

Verona is good with other dogs, but cats are unknown.  She's also great with her human foster sibling.  Just keep in mind that she is a giant puppy and might knock small kids over.

If you think Verona would be a great addition to your pack, apply  today!  Her minimum adoption fee is $325 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
