Hello, my name is Summer,

I am an energetic, inquisitive, affectionate girl who wants to grow into a fine family dog with your guidance. I just LOVE cuddles, playing all types of ball games, nosing around my yard and interactive playtime with my foster brother and sister.

Even though I am only part Aussie I did inherit the desire to be close to my people and enjoy being “Velcro”. I can maneuver up and down stairs with ease and I’m a very good eater!

I’m now 14 weeks old and close to 21 lbs with all my puppy vaccinations scheduled and heartworm/flea & tick meds on board. I am learning all kinds of new things: my name, how to walk on a leash, how to meet people with confidence and what the outside grass is really for! I sleep through the night in my crate near my foster parents and am being crate trained for a working person’s daily schedule.

I have a great time socializing with my foster family Aussies here at Smith Mountain Lake and can run almost as fast as they can, although I’m not nearly as bouncy or nimble on my feet. I really enjoy getting in the lake and have zero fear of putting my head under water. I am living in Moneta, VA and looking for my furever home!
