Both of Edith's diseased eyes were removed. She is learning to navigate her small world.
She will NOT go to a home with an inground pool/pond.
Edith came to us from BARC animal shelter. These notes were on the email from BARC:
Good Afternoon!
The animals below will be humanely euthanized on 7/9/22.
Dogs
A1829815 Edith (DB03) – Geriatric, Possible Cataracts, Possible Diabetes, Dermatitis (possible flea allergy)( PS 7/7)
By law, all stray dogs must be held for 72 hours. This girl was NOT going to get an extension. Rescue was her ONLY chance at living.
We tagged her and took her straight to our vet. Severely flea infested and as a result, total hair-loss. Mature cataracts. Toenails over-grown, wounds on her back, legs and belly from itching so much. This precious girl was probably eager to die. She was miserable.
We aim to change that!
