My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

in Gulfport, MS
Hi everyone, meet Sadie! She is an 11 year young blue merle purebred Aussie who is an absolute sweetheart. She weighs approximately 50 lbs. She is healthy, happy, and very playful for her age.

Sadie is spayed, heartworm negative, microchipped, and UTD on all vaccines and HW/flea/tick preventatives.
Her fur is growing back wonderfully after having skin issues previously to being brought in as a foster. She has cataracts in both eyes, but can still see fairly well. She seems to have a little bit of hearing loss, as we have to speak slightly louder for her to hear us. She also has some arthritis in her hips, in which she is receiving supplements to help (Dasuquin w/ MSM and multivitamins). Most of these are just due to her age. However, none of these impairments prevent her from being a happy and playful girl!

Sadie knows how to sit. She does well on a lead, just needs you to give her direction or she will weave back and forth in front of you. She is completely house/potty trained, does not need a crate, and is well behaved on her own.
Sadie likes:
- playing fetch (over and over again)
- butt scratches
- to always be in the presence of her people while at home
- going for car rides
- all people and dogs
Sadie dislikes:
- baths and being brushed (she'll put up with them, but tries to avoid them if possible)
- being cuddled (but likes to lay next to you)
- having her head petted (but will tolerate it)

Sadie is a very easy going girl, as she really does not react to anything. She's good around kids and other dogs, but has not been tested around cats. With her mindset and attitude, she would probably do fine, as she doesn't seem to care about much.

Sadie definitely needs a fenced in yard to play fetch, as that is her absolute favorite activity and will demand to keep playing even if you don't want to anymore. She sleeps a lot due to her age, but will play every second she's awake if you'll play with her! Sadie would thrive in any home that can provide daily fetch sessions and lots of butt scratches.

You will not regret making this beautiful, sweet girl a part of your family!
Sadie is being fostered in South Mississippi.
