My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT ADOPTER:

Senior alert! Barack is a 10 year old male tuxedo. He was rescued by his Papa when he was only 4 weeks old. For his whole life his Papa was all Barack had known. Sadly his human passed away earlier this year and Barack found himself scared and alone. As Movers emptied the only home he'd known, Barack began to feel even more lost and withdrawn from the world along with mourning the loss of his Papa. Unfortunately no one in the family could or would take Barack in. Almost all Hope was lost until a foster decided to take him on. Although they tried their best, Barack was so scared and depressed that he would not adapt.

Finally, one of our experienced volunteers with The TNR Project decided to give Barack a chance. With patience, Barack started coming out of his shell. Everyday it seemed like Barack was discovering something new about the world as he was coming out of his depression from loss. He started playing with feather teasers, and enjoying catnip! He didn't mind the company of other cats anymore. And he became a real family cat! Barack loves men and is a favorite of the little boy fostering him. He also LOVES to drink out of the faucet and would love to have access to running water and/or a fountain.

He loves to be around people and hang out with you on the couch. He has truly found a new lease on life! He is so ready for his own loving family. We know this senior Kitty will imprint on his human once he gets the chance and he will be so loving and loyal!

Please contact Jenny his foster mom with any questions!
