My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Fig!  She was found as a stray and is litterbox trained, vaccinated and spayed.  She is great with dogs and will even go up to them to give them lovings!  We are unsure how she is with other cats since we were told that prior to rescuing her the other cats in the neighborhood would attack her.  She loves her dry kibble and is a little on the chunky side, and when she is mad at you the best way to bribe her is with some Arby's roast beef or cooked spaghetti noodles.  She can be on the picky side with her treats but really enjoys whisker lickins and canned chicken, they seem to be her most favorite!

Her foster mom says she is very much a "bush dweller" who enjoys spending most of her time on the floor.  She likes to keep to herself and come to you for loving when she is ready to interact.  She is a fairly calm cat who isn't super active and likes to just lay around and chill out.

Due to her situation, she is still very skittish when it comes to a lot of things including toys, collars, carriers, blankets, towels, and men.  Her foster mom and dad are working super hard with her on these things and making some progress.  She will let her foster dad pet her but only with her foster mom near, and even though she is more at ease around women she takes a few days to warm up.  She is not a fan of being picked up or held, but once you have built up the trust with her she turns into nothing but a lap cat with you for hours (on her terms).  She loves having her butt, head, and neck scratched, those seem to be her favorite spots.

She has a bald spot on her head that we call her lucky spot and appears to be a scar from a burn.  She is an expert bug hunter who loves to play with them, but never kill them.
