Hi! I’m Lenny! I’m a 7-8 month old, male, Belgian Malinois. I came from a rural shelter in New Mexico and man did I make it out just in time! When I got to Colorado I was very, very, sick with Anaplasmosis. I got this from a tick, and I was so anemic I had to have a blood transfusion. I’m feeling much better now, and I’m ready to look for my forever home. Here is what my foster mom says about me: “Lenny is such a people oriented dog. He loves to meet new people and loves to be attached to his person’s hip. He wants to be their protector. He starts out meeting new dogs in a sort of mouthy, kind of obnoxious way, but once initial intros are over, he does quite well. He is wicked smart and LOVES to learn and please his handler. He has a fun side and enjoys playing with toys. Due to his breed, Lenny will only be placed in a home with a fenced in yard. Breed experienced applications will take precedence. First time dog owners will not be considered.
