My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Well mannered, kind, such a gentle soul, Aspen is not your typical high energy, playful husky. He reminds us of an old soul in a young body, He is quite the gentleman. Friendly, he approaches you nicely and with grace. He prefers that you do not lean into his space too quickly. He likes to check you out first :) He bonds quickly with his favorite and trusted people. He rarely leaves your side once he has established that bond with you. He will expect to share space with you, bed and couch. Another favorite thing he likes to do with his human is be picked up and cradled like a child. He will put his paws on your chest and look into your eyes adoringly. If you carry him around like this or dance to your favorite melody, it will send him to cloud 9. When he stands on his back legs, that is your cue to pick him up from under his armpits. Aspen enjoys walks with his humans and boy, does he walk well! He also loves playing fetch. Aspen loves to spend time outdoors. Just chilling, hanging out sunbathing is his favorite past time. He will stay outside just chilling all day if you let him. Aspen can be stubborn when he chooses to be. If there is something he does not want to do, best to find other ways to encourage him. For example, he does not like to be brushed, however, if you give him a bone or chicken breast treats while you do so, he will sit through it with no fuss. Don't expect him to go in a crate without first sweetening the pot by leaving high value treats in there. Like all huskies, he is a picky eater, he grazes and rarely finishes his meals in one setting.

Aspen is 3 years old, 45lbs, looking for a semi active home where there are lots of human engagement, walks and outdoor chill in the backyard time. Aspen is house trained. He is respectful of the home if left alone, unless you accidentally leave food on the counter, then all bets are off!
