My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gronk is a sweet and friendly 3 year, 60 lb tan Plott Hound. Gronk loves people, kids, and his foster family's female dog. As soon as Gronk sees you, his tail starts wagging like crazy! Gronk is a huge cuddle bug and enjoys any and all affection.

In his foster home, Gronk is pretty calm and looks very happy to just be around the family's daily activities. He loves to run in the fenced backyard, and we would recommend a 6 ft fence as he is athletic and can jump a 4 ft fence. Gronk will play with squeaky toys and loves a good game of fetch. He does best with dogs smaller than him with a more submissive personality. Gronk and his foster sister have been getting along great, and they can both play hard and relax together. Gronk does not currently live with cats but did have a controlled meeting with a cat. He respected the cat when it swatted him, so we think he would do ok with a cat that is not afraid to teach boundaries.

He listens well to directions and his name and appears to know a few commands. On walks, Gronk has been walking well on a harness and is quickly learning loose leash walking. He will pull and whine in excitement if he sees another dog. Gronk does get anxious if left alone, so his ideal family would have someone who can be at home with him frequently. He will happily jump in the car to go for a ride. Gronk is housebroken, crate trained, neutered, and up-to-date on all his shots. He would be a great, loyal and lovable companion if you want a best friend who always wants to be by your side.
