Well, if you love the low riders(dachshund, bassets) then Parker might just catch your eye. We really are guessing at his breed(s), he has the longer body of a doxie, and perhaps some Patterdale terrier, but what else is in there, only a DNA test would know. But, it probably does not matter anyway, there is nothing better than a good ol' mutt!!

Parker came all the way from Alabama to find his happily ever after. That is a lot to deal with as such a young pup. He has been around and traveled up north and is only 4 months old or so now. After all this little guy has been thru, he is a little fearful and need a bit more time to warm up to people.

He may have spent more than his fair share of time in a crate judging by the way he walked. He is catching up tho, dogs are amazing, their bodies and spirit manage to bounce back after hard times. Parker is looking for that very special family that has an abundance of patients and understanding to help him on his way. He is not a dog for first time dog owners, he really needs someone that has worked with fearful and under-socialized dogs.

He has not been fear aggressive at all, but he will run, hide and avoid people at first. He has gotten where he will follow us around, touch his nose to a leg, and even sniff our fingers. We can hold him and get him accustomed to handling, and he is doing well with that, but he is not at the point where he is eagerly seeking affection from his people. Poor guy had a rough start and needs some hands on love and very patient "rehabbing" to help him to be the pup he deserves to be.

Parker adores his dog buddies and they are helping him on his journey as well. He is all wiggles and silliness when he is out playing with the crew. He really is a happy and loving guy, and thankfully he is so young he can put all of his social anxiety behind him in the right home. His new home must have a fenced yard and another social dog or two in the home. He is also housebroken, crate trained and listens very well to his people.

Parker is fully vetted, he will go home with loads of supplies to help him settle into his new home. His adoption fee is $275,now $250. Please email Kristine at joysparrows@gmail.com.
