My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Thor is a "Teddy Bear" 1/2 Bichon, 1/2 ShihTuz

Thor is a 4-year-old male who is a high energy little guy!

He is a sweet boy who enjoys snuggling up, but also loves to play and go exploring.

He can entertain himself for significant periods of time. He is eager to please. He walks on a leash, but most of his time is spent off leash exploring the fenced yard. He is about 13 pounds.

Thor is an eager eater but can be distracted. He is good with adults and dogs. He prefers people over other dogs.

He has not had any time with young children so children would need to be at least 10.

Thor is currently living with four other dogs. It is unknown how he reacts to cats as there are no cats at the foster home. He has a high prey drive and does chase squirrels and any other animal that wants to run around the yard. He’ll need a home without cats.

Some of his favorite things include toys, balls, playing fetch and exploring the yard. Thor is a high energy younger dog, who runs at full speed and then crashes for a nap. He initiates contact frequently. He is willing to share a lap with foster siblings. He is crate trained and has had very few accidents in the house.

Thor would make a great addition to a family that is willing to take the time to help him settle in.

He is comfortable with other dogs and with people. He is not destructive but if left without supervision his need to explore may overtake he desire to please. He is crated when supervision is not immediately available and sleeps in a crate at night.

He enjoys time with his foster family and is learning to trust again. He needs a permanent home where someone will cuddle, train him, and love him for the rest of his life.

Children in the home need to be at least 10 years old. Thor needs a small youngish dog already living in the home chosen for him, as well as a home without cats. There are no exceptions to these things.

He is located in MI
