This lovely girl with the most radiant smile is our precious Cake, and who doesn’t want cake?! This beautiful girl is gorgeous and she knows it, and she never hesitates using her looks to charm her way into your heart, and it has worked on every single person she has met so far! If you happen to find yourself with a spare hand, Cake will remind you that that hand can be put to good use in petting her. If you somehow have both hands free, oh boy, then you’d better be prepared to give Cake your 200% attention, not only because she deserves it, but because cuddling with her has magical healing powers - a kiss from Cake can brighten up your day and make all your worries go away! This sweet girl is shy with new people, but once she gets used to them, she is a sweetheart who can’t get enough attention. Cake would like to meet and get to know her potential adopter(s) in person before adoption day, so she hopes you live close to Hahira, GA and can come say, "hello!" She is crate trained, walks well on leash, knows “sit,” and will come when called. She has no desire to climb fences, and a 4’ fence will suit her just fine. She has a low-medium activity level and couldn’t care less about digging. Her energy is better spent rolling around in the grass in the sunshine! And when it’s hot outside, she prefers to spend her time inside where it’s cooler. Cake loves other dogs, and really wants a canine brother in her forever home! If you are lucky enough to be Cake’s furever person, we are pawsitive that there will never be a dull day in your life as long as Cake is by your side!

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
If you can't foster or adopt at this time, please consider helping our Neediest Cases or making a tax-exempt donation by visiting our Donate page.
