My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jenna came to us in the worst situation with 21 children and grandchildren. After all she's been through she is the sweetest lovey girl. Weighing only four pounds when she came in. She started off as a kitten 18 months ago and was pregnant by time she was five months old and had five litters of which her pet parents kept all the kittens of all the litters. She was in the worst condition we had ever seen any kitten in, in years. She was getting pregnant by her own children even. Through all this Jenna was loving towards her brood and trusting of us new humans. So much so that we fixed her a few days later even in her way too skinny condition and she'd been giving kisses to us daily. So trusting of us, it is miraculous to witness. She's a very pretty five pound kitty and she's looking better day by day. She deserves a chance for a happy, healthy life finally after the devastation she's been through.

They were living in a filthy pop-up camper. They were very sick, under nourished, full of fleas, and unable to breathe well. It was a disgusting display of neglect. The couple said they ran out of food days prior to reaching out to us. They were clearly over their heads and did have some funds but didn't spend on the cats. All the kitties were under 18 months old. We rushed to vet them, foster them, keep them alive. It was a Code Red situation if ever there was one. It was so heartbreaking the vet techs and we, ourselves were crying seeing the condition they came from and was in. We really didn't think we could save them as many of their litter had died already.

Tiny and Panther only weighted about a 7.3 oz.'s and for 8-week-old kittens. The vet was shocked at their condition. Raven and her kittens had lost the fur on their faces and were so depleted they had no muscle and was actually critical and dying. Within 48 hours they had a complete turn around with med, care and love, The rest of Panther and Tiny's litter had died already and very young Mother, Raven was in the same condition they were. Once we got them on the mend we reunited them with their young Mother Raven. They are looking better every day now. Raven had no milk left due to starvation and lack of water. She weighs only four pounds and she had six kittens originally and raised them to seven weeks old as they started to die and she watched them parish. She was SO sick and depressed, we hadn't seen a mother kitten in this condition ever. Even Raven's mother, Jenna was in the same condition but her babies were larger once the food ran out and they were sick but able to survive.

The amazing thing about all these babies and their young mothers, is that as almost lifeless as they came in, they still long for a human to kiss and hold them, they bond so fast and so tightly to their new pet parents and fosters because they understand what they lived through, and they are so appreciative to made it through and found kind loving fosters who are right there with them holding them, singing to them, cuddling them. As scary and weak as they were, as horrible as they looked missing fur on their faces, running goopy eyes and not being able to breathe, they are responding to love and cuddles.

These kitties are tough, they survived the worst neglect and yet bounced back SO fast with medication and the most of their recovery was the LOVE and KISSES they got from their amazing foster parents. There will be no long-term illness. They had fleas more than we've ever seen on a kitten before even after flea treatment, but the fosters were VERY attentive getting all the fleas off and keeping them off and on time with their many medicines. Some were in an oxygen tent for a few days and came out ready to play. They are recovering quickly and looking for love in gentle families who will treat them with the respect any pet parent who loves their furballs would give to any living pet. We would want more mature households and non-smoking ones for their adoptive parents. No kids under age 8. There are many to choose from. They are fighters and VERY AFFECTIONATE.
