My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Here's what Petunia's foster mom has to say about her, "Petunia has been with me for the last year. It's taken a very long time and lots of patience, but she has warmed up to me and now gets excited and all wiggly whenever she sees me. I can't always touch her, but she does usually climb into my lap whenever I sit down. She likely will never be a dog that will be comfortable with going for walks or to public places or with lots of commotion. However, she is a very sweet girl and will make a wonderful companion if someone is willing to take a chance on her and give her the time that she needs to come out of her shell."
-------
Petunia is a 3-year-old chihuahua. This little girl has been through a lot and is very timid. She came to us from a home where breeding was allowed to get out of control, and we believe that she had never had any human contact for her first two years of life. She is not a "normal", friendly, well-adjusted dog. She is definitely a project dog that could require many months (years?) of patience and understanding while she is acclimating to a new environment. She will need continued patience and consistency with potty training. We are looking for a quiet, adult only home with a securely fenced yard and at least one other small breed dog.

We are looking to adopt Petunia locally in the OKC area. (No apartments, please.)

All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on this year's vaccinations, tested negative for heart worms, microchipped, dewormed, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. The adoption fee is $150, if you're interested in adopting, please complete our Adoption Application on our website at www.allpawsrescueok.org.

Go meet their pets

We do not have an actual facility as all of our animals live in foster homes in our community. We schedule meet and greets with approved applicants usually at your home, pet stores or parks. We do not transport, deliver, or charge any fees to meet the animal. Adoption fees are only collected once the animal is adopted.
