My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, my name is Goose and I am a 6 year old, calico female. The shelter has been a bit overwhelming for me so my dream home would be a quieter place where I can have the time I need to decompress. I would also love to go home with cat savvy people, but I'd prefer to be the ONLY cat. I am not sure I would be that great with a dog - and please, no small children! If you have the time and space to let me blossom into a wonderful kitty, then I might be your girl!

More about this rescue

The N.O.A.H. Center is a new state-of-the-art animal adoption facility that opened in May of 2003 where the lives of over 8,000 dogs and cats have been saved. Different from any other animal adoption facility in the state and unique in the entire country, the N.O.A.H. Center stands out among other animal welfare organizations.

Our customer friendly environment is designed to make the animals and the adopters comfortable and feel like guests. With programs geared towards “Building a Bond for Life” between pets and their families by offering:
• Low-cost spay/neuter services and free feral cat spay/neuters in our veterinary clinic and surgical suite.
• Approximately 60 animals on site available for adoption - each rescued from death-row of other area animal shelters.
• Glassed in Dog Suites with heated floors, home mimicking furniture, and access to the outdoors.
• Open room Cat Colony with sun porch allowing adopters to interact with adoptive cats directly.
• Wilderness walking trails throughout our 17 acres of beautiful forests and 2 Off-Leash Play Areas where the public is invited to walk their dogs with other pet lovers.
