My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Crystal. I’m a 5 year old mini red Merle australian shepherd weighing 27 lbs. I am spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped and ready for my furever home!

I require a patient human who is willing to put in a little bit of time and training with me. I know I’m supposed to potty outside, but I’m still learning how to ask. My foster humans have been taking me outside every few hours to avoid an accident. I love it outside, but don’t much understand the whole leash concept. The humans say I’m a fast learner though, and I will do better if treats are involved 🦴

It takes some time for me to warm up to new humans, but I really like my doggo friends! My foster brother and sister have really helped me break out of my shell. Inside, I like to find a cozy spot under the end table to nap in. But outside I will run and play with my friends! And don’t worry, I will warm up to you too eventually, and then you’re in for lots of love and kisses!

Because of my past and now learning to be an inside dog, I have not been tested with kids so my foster is recommending a home with no children under the age of 7 years old.
