Here's what the humans have to say about me:
URGENT: Asa is in need of a foster and/or a forever home.
Hi everyone! My name is Asa. You are probably wondering why I am listed under a Weimaraner. Well, I am a Weimaraner except I am not the normal gray color. I am white in color, which LWR found out was leucism. I came from the area where the tornado went through in eastern KY in December 2021. I was found as a stray, so LWR doesn’t know much about me. When I came to LWR I was very thin and had scars and marks all over me. I cannot tell them what I went through, but they know that I was not taken care of. I am about 2 years old. I am up to date on vaccinations and will be neutered and microchipped soon. I warm up quickly and absolutely love to be petted and loved on. I am still puppy-like with the mouthing and nipping. I am currently getting help with that along with basic obedience and leash training. I would like to have another dog in the household to play with. I had a run-in with a male Weimaraner that growled and that made me growl so we didn’t get to become friends. I would probably be better off living with a sister that likes to play. I will need a home with patience and are willing to help me get to be the best Weim I can be. I would prefer the house that I go to be my forever home, but if I need to stop at another house before, then I will make it through. I promise I will be a great boy that you will love unconditionally. I am housebroken, but do not like the crate much. I could possibly be trained to like it with my four-legged sister or brother being next to me. I do know how to go in/out a dog door too! I will have to get used to riding in the car, but every time I have ridden in a car, I go somewhere else so that scares me. However, I am a good car rider once I’m in there. I am really needing my forever family. I hope that is you!
