My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Boots, a beautiful redtick beagle from Kentucky. He was dropped off in the outside kennel at a local shelter so nothing is known about him prior to entering the shelter. What we do know is he is very friendly and LOVES people! He is affectionate and seeks out attention, waiting for someone to sit on the couch so he can cuddle up and get some good hugs.

Boots is about 3 years old and 28 lbs. He enjoys being outside sniffing around. He does well in a crate at night and is almost house trained. Boots likes other dogs, is playful and enjoys toys. A fenced in yard with another young dog to play with would be best for him.  Boots is a typical beagle; extremely food motivated and persistent. He has done well at his foster home, but will need to learn the rules at his new home. He is smart and will be a wonderful member of the family once he learns the routine. Boots is being fostered in the Concord, New Hampshire area and is available for visits.
