PLEASE READ: Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable dogs! All dogs listed are still available. If interested, please complete our no obligation application. This can be found at www.waldosmuttleycrew.org. Select the Applications tab, then Adoption Application. THE APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED BEFORE WE CAN START THE PROCESS. It can take up to a week to process an application. We are an all-volunteer rescue so please be patient.
Our adoption area is limited to a 4 hour radius of Indianapolis. We try our best to provide all information in our bios. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask during the interview process. Some of our dogs have special requirements such as needs another dog in the home or requires a physical and permanent fenced yard. These requirements are not negotiable. Unless otherwise noted, we do not cat test our adoptable dogs. We also require that all pets in your household be spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and on a monthly heartworm/flea preventative.

Can you say "aaaawwwww"???? Aren't they just too much? These adorable siblings, Mikyla (larger female with two brown ears) & Makar (smaller male with right brown ear) are available for adoption as a bonded pair. They were born approximately 4/15/22; their mom is a dachshund mix & their dad is a terrier mix. They are from the litter that was dumped in a parking lot. Mikyla is the adventurer who likes to explore and is very smart. Makar is extremely sensitive & submissive & sweet; the trauma of being dumped very much affected him. He has been left with significant fear issues of strangers & new situations; the other puppies in the litter weren't nearly as emotionally scarred from what happened to them. Makar has decided that Mikyla is his "woobie" and needs to go with her to a very quiet & patient home in which he will be able to continue to grow in confidence. Because of his timidity, we will not be placing him in any home with kids under 18 - he needs to have controlled meetings with new people so that he feels safe and has successful introductions in order to grow in his trust of people. Having smaller, confident adult dogs in the home would be an awesome for Mikyla & Makar; larger dogs would be overwhelming. These puppies aren't overly active as some puppies can be which is wonderful! They play for about 45 minutes to an hour and then are ready for snuggles. A fenced in yard is a must for this bonded pair. Experienced dog owners only please! We will be providing guidance on what Makar will need in the coming months as far as training & socialization in order to be successful so that he can grow into a happy, well adjusted adult.
The adoption fee for the pair is $500; they are fixed, microchipped and current on vaccinations as well as monthly heartworm/flea preventative. Applications are available at waldosmuttleycrew.org . Local adopters will only be considered. (Indianapolis area)
