My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey All! I’m Arrow!

*I am considered special needs as I am deaf*

Intake date: 6/21/2022
Intake type: Stray
Pup Partners Color: Green

DOB: 7/1/2021
Gender: Male
Weight: 42lbs

I am: Up to date on vaccines, Microchipped and Neutered

My friends describe me as: Silly, Playful, Loving, Smart
I absolutely love to play fetch with my ball (as you can see from my pictures), frisbee, and running around the dog yard playing. I will be your best friend if you throw my ball! 🎾I have lots of energy and am a go go type of doggo.. which comes from my breed. I constantly need a job or something to do!

My energy level: High- I need lots of stimulation to keep me a happy and healthy pup. An active home would be great for me!

Home with children: Older children would be best for me. I am a herder and tend to nip at ankles.

Home with dogs: No- I tend to get scared and not know what to do. My shelter family thinks this has a lot to do with me being deaf.

Home with kitties: No

Housebroken: Yes
My leash manners: Are Average

He's quick learner who is always ready to go! Arrow recently graduated with his Canine Good Citizen Skills from our SPIRIT Program at Groveland Correctional Facility. In his 6 weeks there, Arrow learned hand signals and sign language with the trainer and his handler. The shelter staff are continuing this training. Arrow did amazing with the program and was able to pick up on the sign language and hand signals very quickly. He is a VERY smart boy! He would do very well with an active family as he is a VERY active dog! They say he is the smartest dog they have ever had go through the program!

The shelter life stresses Arrow out and he is an active boy that would highly benefit from a family that understands his breed and will continue his training with sign language. Please submit an application for this boy today!
