Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Cooper! Cooper is a Yorkshire terrier/Australian terrier mix. He is about 10 to 11 years old and weighs 22 pounds. Cooper is very loving and affectionate, fun to play with and gets along fine with the other dogs in his foster home. We really think this little guy is nearly perfect, now! It’s hard to believe but he was owner- surrendered to the Animal Shelter because he had started biting to guard his toys and food. We put Cooper on medication and he is now doing great! He continues to be affectionate, loves to play and has learned good manners. Cooper is leash and house trained and uses a dog door at his foster home. He would be a great companion for one or two adults. Cooper has had bloodwork and a dental cleaning. His bloodwork suggested that he be put on a mature/conservative diet that is not rich to make sure his liver and kidney function continues to do well.
Interested in becoming a forever home for Cooper? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application.
Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws.
We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Cooper.
We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Cooper the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us.
For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process.
Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses.
All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.
Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
