Max is a playful and goofy, friendly and sweet, 1 1/2-year-old, 40-lb. beagle mix. He enjoys walking and really lights up with excitement when he sees children and new people. He is great with kids, adults and other dogs. Due to his size and playfulness, it is recommended that if the home has kids, they be 8 years and older. He would do best in a home with other playful dog companions. He is OK with cats. He enjoys playing with toys, walks well on a leash, is house trained and crate trained, and has shown no signs of destructive behavior when left uncrated in the foster home. He sleeps close to his foster family on the bed or dog bed, and sleeps well through the night. He rides well in the car. We are requiring a home with a secure minimum 6-ft. tall fenced-in yard for him.
