Echo is a 6 year old female Border Collie that recently retired from ranch life because her new owner did not feel she knew how to work cattle. Despite this rejection, Echo loves people, gets along well with other easy-going dogs and is eager to please. Although she was an "outdoor dog" in her former life, she has done well in the house and generally tries to stay out of the way unless called upon. Echo also does fine with dog-savy cats, although she is still unsure if they are "safe" to be around (lol). Despite being a little on the shy side, Echo responds quickly to commands and knows "sit", "wait" and "load up", and willingly kennels up without being asked to wait quietly until she is released. This is one great dog that should go to a home that really appreciates her breed.
Echo's adoption fee is $180, which covers her spay, microchip and shots. Contact HPHS@Ymail.com if you are interested in this lovely lady.
