HI! My name is River and I am an adorable border collie mix pup! I was picked up as a stray on the Navajo reservation and brought to Herding Haven rescue. My foster mom describe me as sweet, snugly, smart and playful. True to my border collie heritage, I love to learn new things. You can see the wheels in my mind turning when you ask me to do something. I have already mastered "sit", "come" and "kennel". I'm an active pup who is already showing some herding tendencies-- I will playfully corral the ducks in my foster home. An active family that will nurture my intelligence and drive is what I need. I love other dogs and would do fine in a home with dog-savvy kids over the age of 8 yr. I am doing really well on my house-training and will actually put myself to bed in my crate when I'm sleepy.
