Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Midori. She is one of 7 pups born on May 13, 2022, to Mommy Kalhuha. There are five girls and two boys in the litter. Mommy Kaluha was found as a stray already pregnant and never claimed. The litter is Boxer mixes and we don't believe they will reach more than 40lbs when fully grown. Mommy Kaluha weighs about 38lbs. They have short hair coats so shedding will be minimal. This litter has been a joy to watch grow and change. They are a very happy bunch and enjoy being picked up and cuddled. They are toy-a-holics and are game for any kind that exists. They are definitely in the chewing stage so have a mixture of different types of toys thanks to the generosity of our supporters. They got to go on grass for the first time at their photo shoot and had a ball zooming around the entire time. The entire set of babes is really gentle and not yet nippy. Midori looks just like Mommy Kaluha. We do not see that very often in these mixed breed litters. She is a social butterfly and loves to greet her foster family and their dogs. She definitely enjoys her meal times. Midori is a real doll, she is a very affectionate little girl. The litter has been eating Royal Canin Medium Breed Puppy food since they were 5 weeks old. They are fed 4 times daily and are currently free-fed. All of these babies are paper trained. They have been dewormed every two weeks since birth with Strongid T and a course of Panacur for 5 days. They currently all reside in the whelping room in the foster home until they have had their first vaccines. They are very good in the bathtub and for their nail trims at this point. When crated in the vehicle, they are currently quiet. The ideal home for our Midori is one where the family is willing and has the time to take her to obedience classes. She will eventually enjoy going for walks and probably doggie daycare if she is kept well socialized as she gets older. Pama will be great with a family with children. Another resident canine would be a bonus. On Saturday, July 9, they will receive their exam and first set of vaccines including Bordetella. They also will be microchipped and weighed. They will be ready to go to their new homes the next day. A fully fenced yard and a Veterinarian's History of Compliance are mandatory in order to apply for baby Midori.
