Story of Sunny:
Sunny is about 5 years old. He was found lying on a sidewalk in Brooklyn, unbale to move, covered in scars, severely emaciated and blind. Apparently, he had been lying in that position and location for days until a fellow rescuer saw a posting seeking help. We responded to the urgent call and rushed Sunny to the vet. Sunny was dying; his health was in a grievous state. Bloodwork showed high white blood cell count due to the infections in his eyes. We were told to wait three weeks as he needed to eat and gain enough weight before his eye surgery. It was evident that Sunny was an indoor cat, dumped outside by someone as he is just too sweet and friendly to be an outdoor cat.
The good news is, Sunny has made a miraculous recovery and is ready for his forever home! Despite his blindness, his foster dad says that he is the neatest and the cleanest cat! He knows where his litter box is and does not make a mess after he uses it. Sunny is fully vetted, FIV+, and will need a quiet home, be the only pet or with an older calm cat. Sunny will need the time and the patience to adjust to his new home. He needs to be shown that this world is good and that humans can be kind. Sunny is a giver, hugs and kisses and loves rubs and pets. Will you be that special someone to give this special Sunny boy his second chance in life?
