My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IVY is a one and a half year old puppy bundle of fun! She is 50 lbs of exuberant good times. Ivy loves to run, play with toys and then come and lie down and snuggle with her human. She is very interested in learning. Since being rescued our volunteers have been teaching her sit, wait, off…all the good manners of a house dog and she is lapping it up and asking for more…she would love to learn 100 tricks!

Ivy is curious and smart. She wants to be in on everything. She makes good eye contact and really engages and listens. She would make a good working dog!
Ivy likes to try new things like wading in the kiddie pool. She was hesitant at first but boldly went on in and enjoyed it!
She has already learned to walk nicely on a leash without much pulling. Since Ivy came to our rescue her confidence has grown through interacting with so many kind people and she is ready for a home and new adventures.

She is a happy girl who loves people and other dogs. Ivy was kenneled with another dog without any issues at the shelter. She would love a doggie friend in her forever home. When she sees another dog she does play bows to invite interaction and gives kisses through the fence.

Ivy is also very affectionate. After a good play she is happy to curl up next to you and give kisses and snuggles. She takes treats gently and loves to lean on you for a cuddle.

Ivy’s ideal family is an active one. She would love to have another doggie friend and go for hikes and all kinds of adventures. This sweet happy girl is ready to see the world with you.
She will need a family who will continue to teach her good house dog manners and continue her training. Smart Ivy has the makings of a great canine citizen and would love a family with the time to guide her, exercise her and play with her.
