My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oliver is a 2 1/2 year old chihuahua/Jack russell mix. Oliver was surrendered to the rescue because his family had too many dogs and were no longer able to care for them all. Oliver is a friendly, sweet boy who seems to fit into any home/family with ease. He was very social with the other dogs right from the start and did not seem to go through the usual time that most need to adjust to a new home/environment. Oliver is a happy go lucky guy so he should not have any trouble fitting into any home. Oliver enjoys playing with the other dogs. He should do fine with older kids or kids who aren't wanting to grab at him. We don't know how he is with cats since we don't have any but it seems like he would do fine with a proper introduction and boundaries set from the start. Oliver has the cutest offset jaw (was probably born with it) and one tooth always sticks out which just adds to his charm and adorableness! He is a small dog so he would do well as a travel companion or couch buddy!. He should not require a huge amount of exercise but terriers can have a good deal of energy so regular walks a couple of times a day or a fenced yard that he can get outside and play in would be ideal for his energy level.
Oliver saw the vet on 7/18/22 and was updated on his yearly vetting. No issues were noted on his physical exam and he tested negative for heartworms and on his fecal exam. He was put on Simparica Trio for monthly heartworm prevention/flea control/deworming. Oliver weighed 11.5 pounds as of 7/18/22.
If interested in giving Oliver his forever home, please submit your interest and your adoption application via email or text ONLY to 352-215-3260 (phone calls will not be answered or returned from this number). Oliver's adoption fee will be $200 to help cover the cost of his vetting and daily care while with us
