My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chandler! He is a 1 1/2-2yr old, 40lb cattle dog-blue heeler, rescued from the streets of Oklahoma. Chandler’s dad and four siblings came to Vermont this summer as shy, nervous pups who didn’t yet know the joy of family life.

Chandler has become a happy, friendly boy who loves playing with other friendly dogs and getting love & affection from his humans. He has excellent manners considering his past, appears to be house trained (no accidents since he’s been with us!), doesn’t jump up or bark much- a really perfect gentlemen!

Chandler has been great with our kids and other dogs and was introduced to a cat while in OK and was curious but non-reactive.

This sweet boy needs a patient, loving family to help him come out of his shell and a friendly dog playmate living in the home will be key in helping him feel confident. He hasn’t yet been taught any basic obedience and will need work walking on a leash but you won’t regret investing that time & love into him.

If sweet Chandler sounds like a great fit for your family, please fill out the application:
