Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Walter is a handsome 3-year-old male Bone Mouth Shar Pei/Dobie mix. He is very smart, well-trained and protective of the people he loves. This love-bug is house and crate trained. He knows the commands sit, stay, heal, place and down. He has had formal professional training. He has lived in a home with other dogs and they were BFFs! He is a tentative with new dogs; a meet and greet is required if there is an existing dog at home. He LOVES being with his people and typical of his breed he is a protector. He loves his human children, but since he is a protector, it would be best if he is in a home without kids coming and going. His ideal home adult only, quiet and has fenced in backyard. It takes him a little bit to warm up to strangers. We are looking for an adopter with breed experience or experience with protective pups. He weighs 65 pounds and is full grown. He is being fostered in the Stafford, Virginia area. Meet and greets will be set up with approved applicants. He is microchipped. This pup should be on heartworm preventative; an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! If you are interested in adopting this dog, and are already approved to adopt through our organization, please contact dogs@lastchanceanimalrescue.org with the pup’s name and ID number in the subject line. OTHERWISE, please submit an adoption application online: https://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/adoption-request-form/ E-mail dogs@lastchanceanimalrescue.org with questions.
