My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Denali! This handsome 5-year-old purebred German Shepherd is ready to find his paw-fect forever home. He is an intelligent and loyal boy who adores playtime, especially when it involves fetching tennis balls or exploring the snowy trails during a long hike.

Though not a fan of swimming or car rides his playful demeanor and affectionate nature will surely win your heart. He would thrive in a home where his people are around often and might even enjoy having another doggo companion.

Ready to meet this stunning gentleman pooch? Fill out an adoption interest form and schedule a meet-and-greet appointment today. Make Denali a paw-some addition to your furever family!

Remember, #AdoptDontShop and help us spread the message of #AnimalWelfare and #Compassion for all our furry friends.

More about this shelter

We are a local non-profit organization run and staffed by your neighbors. We make decisions on caring for homeless, unwanted, abandoned and abused domestic animals based on what we believe is best for them. We have no affiliation with any larger group and we receive no funding from any larger group that might influence our decisions or actions.

We advocate only for the animals in our care to help them find their forever home with you.

UPAWS does not receive operating funds from any governmental agency. We rely on donations from our neighbors and friends to make our efforts possible. We save consistently 98% of the animals who come to us – which is an award-winning success story. We want to educate everyone on proper animal care so there soon won’t be the three percent who come to us too sick or wounded to be saved. It’s your support that makes this dream possible.
