Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
My name is Luna! I have quite a unique look as I am a Corgi Mix Extraordinaire; nobody really knows what other doggy breed is mixed up in the melting pot of myself, but some ideas thrown around have been Shepherd, Malamute, and Basset Hound. Labels don`t really become me, however. My beauty and friendly, laid back personality are all you really need to know! I had been passed around between a few different families before I came to live at Safe Haven and have even done time in the big house when I got lost from my families on several occasions. I really love everyone, but I sure would like a furever family to settle down with in my retirement years. I met the people at Safe Haven when I sashayed into the spay/neuter clinic they were hosting and asked for a belly rub. The vet said I was born around 5/5/2013 but that unfortunately I was heartworm positive. Then came the `lunar eclipse` at the sanctuary as I had to remain as calm and quiet as possible for THREE WHOLE MONTHS as I underwent the long treatment for heartworms. Now that I am finally all healthy again, I can resume my normal activities of daily walks and cuddles, playing fetch, chasing my tail, and requesting belly rubs from everyone I meet. Wanna be my designated `belly rubber?`
Love and light,
Luna
Note from Safe Haven: Luna is an escape artist and can dig under fences or tear apart chain-link and wood paneling, so she is looking for a home with a very secure yard, or else a home where she won’t be left alone outside.
