Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bonnie is a 5 month old DEAF pup who is currently being fostered in Texas. She is full of personality and antics and has no idea she can't hear. She gets along great with her furry foster brothers and sisters and loves to play with them no matter what size they may be. She definitely has that puppy energy but can also be found crashed out in the weirdest positions and places when she need a nap. she is a smart, happy curious girl with lots of love to give.
The perfect home for Bonnie would be someone with Deaf Dog, Dogo or similar breed experience. It would be ideal for her to go to a home with a friendly male dog that could teach her the ropes. She might even do okay with a cat if they are introduced early. Her new home has to be patient and know or be willing to learn how to communicate with her by sign language. Our deafies need homes that are very secure and with little risk of escaping, Therefore, she needs secure yard with a high (6') fence. We have many resources that give guidance for deafies as they make wonderful family members when trained properly. We take training very seriously for this breed and espcially for our deafies!
Bonnie loves her foster Mom and Dad but is ready to have a home of her own. She's a Texas girl for now but is willing to travel for the right home.
Dogos are a wonderful breed but we urge anyone interested to dig in and do a lot of research before
deciding if they are a good fit for your home. They require a lot of attention and training with them
never ends! Boundaries must be enforced and they often need reminders as they push past boundaires
you set! Dogos are loving, kind and gentle but don't mistake that for weakness because they are equally
powerful and intense as well! Everyone in the home must be on board with having a dogo and play a
major role in their daily routines and training. Yes it is work, but the rewards are ten-fold! Lazy homes
don't work for dogos as they need stimulation, exercise, and lots of attention too during their younger
years. Our goal in rescue is to be as transparent as we can about each and every dog plus make sure new
families really understand the needs of a dogo!
