My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Skye was left in a home when her owners moved. She broke out of the house and found herself alone. Fortunately a good person found her and took her to her house where she had puppies and unfortunately the lady did not have enough room to keep Puppies and Mom so Augusta dog adoptions stepped in and took her in.
Skye lives with other dogs and gets along fine with them. She knows how to use a doggie door and goes in and out to go to the bathroom whenever she needs to. She has raised all of her puppies and now it’s time for her and her puppies to find a home.
Sky does like to chase cats so a home without cats would be best.
She’s about four years old and is full grown weighing about 40 pounds.

Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
