My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Welcome Dakota to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 1-year old Akita/Boxer mix. He has a home cropped tail (not the best job) but it adds beauty to this playful boy. He would probably be best as an only dog so he can get all the attention of his people. He is good with most dogs but can be reactive to some. He has adorable ears that are his claim to fame. The cross at the top of his head and are absolutely adorable. He has a shorter coat and lower shed. He is athletic, good in a car, good on a leash, potty trained and nice in a crate. He is up to date on vaccines and healthy. He is looking for his forever home. He has been around kids and he is good with them. He would be great with an athletic family. He would love to join in walks, runs, hikes or any outdoor activity. He is good with other dogs and one that is playful would be his favorite friend. He is neutered and in foster care waiting for his forever home. His adoption fee is 250 and transport is 180. He can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. We do not adopt dogs to residents of Massachusetts or Rhode Island due to the restrictions of these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or our website at www.ccpalrescue.org for an application.
