My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kuka and Finn are being fostered in Georgia and with an approved application can be transported. This bonded pair has been through so much and would love their forever home together.

Kuka is a Australian Shepard mix she is 6 years old. Finn is a American Bulldog mix he is 4 years old. They were picked up as strays together on August 10, 2021 in Houston Texas. They had a lady in North Carolina that wanted to foster them so a rescue pulled them. They were transported for 2 days with 14 different people from Texas to NC. Once they got to the foster home in NC they did not get along with the foster’s dog and the foster wanted them gone. Current foster decided to take them in November of 2021. So the foster brought them to Georgia to new foster lived and they went into boarding for a week. Foster went by and visited with them everyday until she had space for them. Rescue quit paying for dogs so foster reached out to OSSD and we took over responsibility. Finn was shut down and was scared of people, he would not walk on a leash, he would belly crawl on the ground. He was scared to go outside. He would come out and potty and wanted to go right back inside. He doesn’t like other dogs except Kuca. He is crate and house trained but has an accident every once in a while. Finn is bonded to Kuka and likes some female dogs. It took Finn 6 months to come out of his shell. He now likes to go outside. He walks on a leash but still pulls a little. He loves to run around in the back yard but stays close to Kuka. He will need a special adopter that has patience with him. He still gets scared of loud noises but is much better. Kuka is loving, sweet, crate and house trained. She loves being next to her person. She is the perfect dog. They both love toys and hanging on the couch with you. We don’t know their past but are sure it was not good. So let’s help them find a wonderful home as they both deserve it. There has to be a special home that can take take this bonded pair. If interested in adopting please go to our website operationsaveashelterdog.org and complete an application. Adoption fee $350.
