Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Eli is a petite and sweet coonhound who only weighs about 40 pounds and is 1-2 years old. Eli came to us from our local shelter. He was very scared there and was overlooked for many weeks causing him to be stressed and shut down. After moving to his Augusta Dog Adoptions foster home, Eli has a new lease on life!
Eli would be a good fit for a hound lover who doesn't have the space or a fenced in yard for a large, active hound. He's easy to leash walk and ready to adventure around your neighborhood or hit the trails with you on the weekend! Eli is housetrained and loves to be in the prefers in the living room with the people he loves! He loves to eat! So break out the dog treats, put up your feet and let Eli cuddle you through movie night! He's waiting!
Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
