Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
*** Dove is at our Petsmart Encinitas adoption center. ***
White w/gray patches, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 4/15/22, #17611
Cats: comfortable Dogs: likes Children: polite children
BACKGROUND: Dove and her brother Nova were hiding out in the rocky portion of a public park with their mom when a Good Samaritan found the family. When she came to RH, we discovered that Dove has a few birth defect oddities: blocked tear ducts give her watery eyes that need daily cleaning and drying to reduce skin irritation; surgical intervention would not be beneficial per the veterinary ophthalmologist, but Dove does well with her routine and can see just fine!
PERSONALITY: Social and sociable, Dove wants to interact with her humans whenever possible and likes to be in the mix to make sure that she is not missing out. (This kitty has serious FOMO!) While interactive sessions with you and the feather teaser are an important part of her day, she is a smart cookie and understands that in order to be a productive member of society—on occasion—you may have to do something other than play with her. Luckily, she is excellent at entertaining herself and may take the opportunity provided by a bit of time alone to indulge in her passion: birdwatching. Sprinting after ping-pong balls and scaling the furniture are other treasured pastimes. It’s not all fun and games or ornithological pursuits for her, though—she loves your company and is affectionate too!
COMPATIBILITY: Dove does well with other cats and could also be a solo kitty. She is very gentle and we think she could make an excellent family cat for a home with polite children.
Will Dove be the one to win your heart?
