My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Madea: A Lovable Chunky Potato Looking for a Patient Home

Get ready to fall for Madea, a sweet and chunky little potato with a heart full of love! This beautiful girl was rescued from a cat colony in Detroit while pregnant and safely delivered five precious kittens in foster care. Among them was her special baby, Iris, who was her closest companion. After Iris's heartbreaking passing earlier this year, Madea has shown she thrives with another kitty friend to snuggle and play with.

Madea adores being near her humans and used to follow her foster mom around the house like a loyal shadow. Now at the Catfé, she’s still learning to trust people again, but her foster experience has shown just how loving and loyal she can be with time and patience.

Madea needs an adopter who understands her shy side and is willing to give her the gentle encouragement she needs to bloom. With another friendly kitty to keep her company and a patient, loving home, Madea will reward you with her quiet affection and adorable personality.

If you’re looking for a sweet, cuddly companion and you’re ready to give Madea the second chance she deserves, come meet her today—she’s waiting for her perfect person!
