My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Weston was born on 5-22. Mr Weston, born without a tail, was also born with some nerve damage to his back end. (This is something that can affect Manx cats) He has bowel incontinence, to be more specific he has sphincter incontinence. At the moment his foster family is not noticing any urinary incontinence. He is not in any pain or discomfort. His foster family just make sure to keep his bum clean and to pick up after him. He is a special needs kitten and will need a family that is understanding of his condition.

Cats with sphincter incontinence typically leak small volumes of stool without awareness. You may notice occasional fecal balls in your pet’s bed or deposited around the home. If sphincter incontinence is caused by nerve damage, you may observe that your pet has trouble walking, urinary incontinence, and/or changes in how the tail is carried. Sphincter incontinence caused by nerve lesions may be challenging to treat. In some cases, surgery may be recommended to address a herniated disc or other neurologic lesion. In other cases, however, there is no definitive treatment and instead the focus shifts to management.
On 8-20 he will be ready for his forever home. Before going home he will be neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed and on a monthly flea prevention.
