My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Mica.
The staff told me they wanted me to tell you about myself. Well, I guess I’m not too sure what to say. I’m a bit on the shy side. But…the staff has discovered my weakness, catnip and treats! If they have that, there’s no doubt I’ll be there! Once I get comfortable and learn I can trust you, I’m all for scratches and pets. I’ll even flop over and if you’re lucky, you might get to pet my tummy!
I will admit that I’m really heartbroken and confused that I’m here. I’m 10 years old and one day, I ended up here. I don’t know what I did wrong to be here.. but the staff have helped me feel better. They always tell me that I’m a pretty gal, even without all of my teeth. Unfortunately, my previous owners had my declawed. So I feel a bit defenseless and will hide if I’m scared.
While I love the staff, the shelter just isn’t a place for an older gal like me. The loud noises and fast pace stress me out most of the time. I’m still coming out of my shell, these gals haven’t even gotten to fully know me yet. However, I will open up to anyone who gives me a little extra time. I’m a big old love bug for someone who has a patient heart for me. I feel embarrassed asking, but could that be you? I’d love to have a new best friend.

Good with older children, cats. Not likely good with dogs due to timid nature.

Spayed, UTD on vaccines, SNAP tested, microchipped, dewormed, receiving monthly preventatives, declawed.
