Talk about bad luck. Zeus just can't seem to catch a break, no matter how hard he tries. Despite his troubles, he's a gem of a dog with a heart full of longing for a place to call home. So far, his journey has been marred by hardship, leaving him with a lingering fear of men that casts a shadow over his gentle soul. He's ready to find a loving family who will give him the patience and care he deserves.
According to his previous owner, Zeus has lived with both cats and dogs. He reportedly gets along well with his furry friends, although he might play a bit roughly with cats. With a little supervision and guidance, he has the potential to become a great playmate. Zeus appears to thrive with a consistent routine, and with your guidance, he should settle into perfect bathroom habits. He's eager to learn and impress you with his good manners. Though he may bark at first, it's merely a shield against the uncertainties of his past. Once you earn his trust, you'll discover a playful and loving pup buried beneath the fear and doubt. Zeus has shown remarkable progress with his training, a testament to his willingness to learn and adapt. Zeus would do best in a home without young children, where he can enjoy a calm and stable environment. This allows him to shine and show off his best self.
Despite his rough start, Zeus still holds onto hope, dreaming of a forever home where he can finally belong. He's had his share of disappointments, but he's not giving up just yet! Zeus believes that a happy every after is out there for him. Could it be with you?

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.
This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
