My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Honey is one of Mama Snow's puppies that we recently rescued from Northern California. She is currently being fostered with her sister by an awesome family in Oregon.

Honey is a sweet girl that is full of energy and very curious! She loves exploring and getting into things, what puppy doesn't?! She is very food motivated which is great for training. She knows how to sit and is crate trained. She loves her sister and her giant foster brothers!

She will need a home with a strong experienced Dogo owner, in a home without an overly dominant dog. She does not like to be dominanted while playing, especially after playing for a long time when she's tired. She is good with kids and other dogs. She likes being held and loved until she has had enough - she will let you know vocally that she wants down. Honey needs a home without small children. Older children who understand dog behavior and ques could be considered.

Honey will need a home that has a lot of time to work with her on basic commands, training, socialization with people and dogs, etc.

Dogos are a wonderful breed but we urge anyone interested to dig in and do a lot of research before
deciding if they are a good fit for your home. They require a lot of attention and training with them
never ends! Boundaries must be enforced and they often need reminders as they push past boundaires
you set! Dogos are loving, kind and gentle but don't mistake that for weakness because they are equally
powerful and intense as well! Everyone in the home must be on board with having a dogo and play a
major role in their daily routines and training. Yes it is work, but the rewards are ten-fold! Lazy homes
don't work for dogos as they need stimulation, exercise, and lots of attention too during their younger
years. Our goal in rescue is to be as transparent as we can about each and every dog plus make sure new
families really understand the needs of a dogo!
