Bandit is a mix of many breeds - based on a DNA test. She is 36% Australian Cattle Dog, 27% Labrador Retriever, and 10% Border Collie, with lower percentages of various other breeds. She is very much an outside dog but loves to come inside as well. She is highly active and athletic. Playing fetch is her passion, but chasing birds and squirrels are close substitute activities. She currently resides on 37 acres of mostly pastureland. She is the only animal on the property, so I have not seen her around livestock. She has been around other dogs and seems to enjoy it. Bandit will be two years old in August.
My recommendation for this dog is that she would live in a rural setting and not too close to a road. Also, don't underestimate her energy level.
Bandit is crate trained and I have typically transported her in my minivan in a decent sized crate. She does very well in this environment, and she would rather be along for the ride than cooped up at home in a crate by herself.
