Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Brody is a 7 year old tri-color Australian Shepherd -Beagle mix (about 50-50 according to DNA test). He weighs 35lbs, is heartworm negative and up to date on all vaccinations.
Brody is very sweet, very loving and never met a stranger and is not afraid of anything! Fireworks and thunderstorms – no problem! He doesn’t have any “Aussie issues”! He is cute and knows it! A real character!
Brody is good with dogs of all sizes once introduced. He will occasionally growl on meeting a new dog coming to the house, but when corrected he settles down within a few minutes and that is the end of it. His owner was a foster home for many years, and he has been used to dogs coming and going. He is good with cats and children. The only exception is if he has food or a toy, he will get possessive if a child goes near him. A quick verbal reprimand is all that is needed, but for this reason, I would suggest a home without small children, unless they are well trained! Otherwise, Brody is near perfect!
He is house trained, rides well in the car even on long trips, only chews his toys, walks beautifully on the leash, obedience trained and a very mellow fellow. His owner currently works from home, and Brody will sleep under the desk most of the day. He barks at anyone coming to the door, or passing by but will stop when told, although he might whine a couple of times to have the last word!
He is a fun little dog, a great character who wins everyone’s hearts.
Brody would like a fenced yard, but would also do well with just walks out with his family. He really prefers to be inside in the air conditioning.
