Looking Glass Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) virtual rescue, using a network of dedicated fosters throughout the Northeast to care for our animals until adoption. You may be required to travel if approved for adoption.
Rover's ideal home would be any family with a lot of love and time. He will love to be the spoiled only child who gets all the attention or perhaps one or two other patient tolerant female dogs. No kitties. We think he will do fine with children of all ages. Rover has likely never been given the attention he needs so he is just a ball of energy and kisses. When he is out and about, he is almost constantly moving, playing with his best girlfriend or trying to dig to other yard to get to other “friends”. He gets along with all other dogs but his very in your face energy is not something all dogs understand so it can and will get him in trouble with certain dogs. He does not recognize or accept that he is a “little dog”. Rover will need a little more work on housetraining, but he is crate trained. Rover is very vocal when excited or he hears noises so probably not a great apartment dog. We recommend a home where Rover can be very active and burn off his energy in positive ways, but I am quite sure he would love a bed to sleep with his people or persons at night. And probably best with a secure fence he can't Houdini out of!
