My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Grizzly is a seven year old female German Shepard mix. She is loving, friendly and sweet with all adults and children. She has quite a bit of energy and loves to howl when she gets excited! She is great indoors, as she is potty trained and doesn’t chew on things or bark. Unfortunately, she is not friendly with other animals (dogs and cats). She has severe separation anxiety and needs to be kenneled when left alone.

She really loves to be around people! She would be great in a home where she isn’t alone most of the time and has a backyard for her to run around. She is a bit of an escape artist, so the backyard needs to be secure.

Once your application is submitted and approved for the dog you are interested in, someone will call you to start the adoption process

ADOPTION FEE*: Fees vary due to costs put into them, but START at $400 for adults and $500 for puppies.

The adoption fee is for the adoption of the pet. We make sure that our animals are or will be spayed/neutered, receive the proper vaccines and are microchipped and we cover the cost for that if it's not already done before you adopt.

More about this rescue

A Wish for Animals is an all volunteer run organization trying to help as many homeless animals as possible. We work tirelessly to help these animals become adoptable and work hard to find the them the right match so that you can enjoy your pet for the rest of its' life.

During Covid we have been inundated with applications, so please be patient with us as we all work full time as well and are doing our best to care for our animals and find the right homes for them.
